The Woman and the Baby on the Deck

Once upon a time, there was a woman who was holding a baby on a deck. She was staring out into the vast ocean, her mind lost in thought. The woman was named Aria, and the baby was her niece, Lily. Aria had been tasked with taking care of Lily after her sister had passed away, and she was determined to do everything in her power to give the baby a good life.

As Aria stood there, holding Lily in her arms, she couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness. She had always been a loner, preferring the company of books and nature to that of people. But now, with Lily in her life, everything had changed. She had a purpose, a reason to keep going.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew past her, and she felt a chill run down her spine. She looked around to see if anyone was there, but there was no one in sight. The woman shrugged it off and turned back to the baby, but as she did, she noticed something strange. The baby's eyes were glowing! She couldn't believe what she was seeing, and she felt a new sense of fear creeping up on her.

Aria decided to take Lily to the nearby village to seek help. As she walked through the streets, she could feel the eyes of the villagers on her. They were whispering to each other, and Aria could sense that they were afraid. Finally, she came across an old woman who was known for her knowledge of magic.

The old woman took one look at Lily and gasped. "This child is special," she said. "She has been blessed by the faeries."

Aria was confused. "What does that mean?" she asked.

"It means that she has been chosen for a great destiny," the old woman replied. "She will need to be protected at all costs."

Aria was taken aback. She had no idea what the old woman was talking about, but she knew that she had to do everything in her power to keep Lily safe. As she left the old woman's hut, she could feel the weight of responsibility on her shoulders.

Over the next few weeks, Aria did everything she could to protect Lily. She kept her hidden away and made sure that no one knew where she was. But one day, as Aria was walking through the forest, she heard a voice calling out to her.

"Aria," the voice said. "It is time to bring Lily to the faeries."

Aria was scared, but she knew that she had no choice. She gathered Lily up in her arms and made her way to a clearing in the forest. As she got closer, she could see a group of faeries hovering in the air.

"We have been waiting for you," one of the faeries said. "Lily has been chosen to be the next queen of the faeries."

Aria couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had never even heard of a faerie queen before. But as the faeries explained more, she began to understand. Lily was the chosen one, the one who would bring peace to the faerie kingdom.

Aria knew that she had to let Lily go. She couldn't stand in the way of destiny. As she handed the baby over to the faeries, she felt a sense of sadness wash over her. But she also knew that Lily was meant for something greater than anything she could ever imagine.

As Aria turned to leave, she heard Lily's voice calling out to her. "Aunt Aria," the baby said. "Thank you for taking care of me. I will always love you."

Aria felt her heart swell with pride. She had done everything she could to protect Lily, and now the baby was off to fulfill her destiny. As Aria walked away from the clearing, she knew that she would never forget the little girl who had changed her life forever.
